How can you brand your self as an Actor?

Actor branding 101 2021 TIP:
In this Digital era, as an actor make it a point to;

1. Every month, get/take a minimum of 4 professional photos ( 2 Headshots, 2 full shots) and a maximum of 12 professional photos (6 headshots, 6 full shots) showing yourself with different attires, facial reactions (with major focus on happy, smiling, laughing or neutral reactions)

2. Make it a point to have a Facebook Page, Instagram Page, Twitter Account, LinkedIn Account, and make those up purposely for your professional acting presentation, let all carry one name (the brand name you want to go by). And make sure these pages have contact details (WhatsApp Number and email) people nowadays prefer to WhatsApp or email you for a job than doing direct calls, but you can as well put a direct calls contact. If you have the budget, it's good to have a simple website but it's not a must have for starters.

3. Make it a point to post a minimum of one to a maximum of 7 photos a week, these could be a mixture of headshot and full shot and the like.

4. As you post those images, make it a point to use the hashtags #Actor #UgandanActor #(your brand name), and any other trendy tags in the acting world (you can Google about these trendy tags and find out)

5. Repeat this behavior every month for a minimum of 15 months (that's one year and 3 months) and see if your brand as an actor will have a difference for I am sure you won't stay the same.

Lately casting directors rely on checking out people's facebook and instagram pages for their pictures before engaging with them and in this case, one will easily contact you after being impressed by your Digital presentation and then you'll negotiate the numbers.

Note:
1. It's also good to invest a little cash to boost those posts whenever you make them to be able to reach a sizeable audience in the country and outside the country.

2. As you're practicing those tips above, keep it in mind that as an actor you will still be busy doing other things in relation to content creation and practice, and that includes monologues and other related practices.

3. Working hard and smart with patience is compulsory.

Have a great year ahead 🙏🏿
